Google IO

For a developer Google is the pinnacle of technology and innovation. Google is kind enough (since they only do good^^) to share their knowledge once a year to a broader audience through Google IO.

This year's event is currently under way and there are basically two links you'll need to stay on top of things.

  1. IO website
  2. YouTube developers channel

Those two links should give you all the information you need to follow Google IO.

Interesting in this year's event is the showcase of material design and the new Android and the direction Android is heading towards.

I wasn't too impressed with the keynote, but nevertheless there were some very cool things announced. I'm in particular looking forward to new HTML and CSS developments and keeping an eye out for what they will showcase with regards to JavaScript.
